Places in Cambridge to watch the game
|
WHO
In Cambridge on Thursday. Any recommendations where to watch the game that may have a few hammers?
Staying at the Varsity hotel so close to that would be ideal.
TIA

You could try the "King Street Run". It is a grim pub but has a fair chance of having the game on. Don't blame me is all I can say! Not a pub I would go to. There are some other decent pubs on King Street but they probably won't have the game on.
Hopefully you will be able to get the rooftop bar experience in at the Varsity Hotel if the weather permits.

Just checked its a wetherspoons. COme out of your hotel (if its the one by St John's College) follow the signs to the market sq, then follow signs to lion yard or grand arcade (shopping mall), John Lewis is at the far end, the opposite exit from John Lewis, come out turn right, keep walking. Its a 10-15 min walk from your hotel

Yep the Hop and Grain Store is close to the Varsity and will be showing it. I don't think there are any pubs with a particular Hammers presence.

There's a sports bar in St Andrews st, just down the road from the big john lewis/shopping mall in the centre. Looks like a shithole but will probably be showing the game
